It's Stamptember over at Simon Says Stamp, and they've been revealing exclusive products left and right since the beginning of the month! Today is super exciting because they are releasing their collaboration with Lawn Fawn- Christmas Like No Otter.
It's no secret that I'm in love with Lawn Fawn's Shadow Box die (and its cousin, the Scalloped Box Card die), so I used it to make a card with this sweet new stamp set!
You can find the Christmas Like No Otter stamp set exclusively at Simon Says Stamp. It's a limited edition and will be gone when it sells out- and the Lawn Fawn Stamptember release usually goes fast!
As usual, the rest of the Fawnie girls have some amazing projects to share, so be sure to hop over to the Lawn Fawn blog to see them all.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Lawn Fawn Stamptember Release // Christmas Like No Otter
Weekly Recap // September 3, 2017
Yes, I completely missed last week's post! To be honest, I think I missed most of last week- it was such a blur of work! I'm going to get things caught up now, though, and then tomorrow Lawn Fawn may or may not have something extra adorably special to share!
I've already shared most of my projects from Lawn Fawn's last inspiration/release week, but there are two that haven't made it up here yet. The first is (gasp!) an actual paper layout! I used the new Knock On Wood paper collection for this one- I simply love the colors in this line!
This page was also my first time trying out Nuvo Crystal drops on a page, and I really like them! I'm going to need to acquire a few more colors, I think.
My final project for this Inspiration Week used the new Haunted House add-on dies for Lawn Fawn's Scalloped Treat Box. This set contains so many cute little pieces that will help you quickly turn a treat box into a spooky little house! There's also a Winter House add-on die set that the team will be showing in an upcoming Inspiration Week.
As usual the Lawn Fawn blog was full of awesome projects by the other members of the design team, so be sure to check out the last three posts in this Inspiration Week's series!
Day 6: Gift Card Pop-Up, Stitched Woodgrain Backdrop + Knock on Wood
Day 7: Forest Feast, Birch Trees + So Thankful Border
Day 8: Scalloped Treat Box Haunted House Add-On, Shut the Front Door + Cute Cobweb
I also posted two layouts over at The Lilypad last week (well, two weeks ago- I don't think that I actually made anything last week!).
The first uses the new September 2017 Storyteller collection by Just Jaimee...
...and the second is a Project Life layout using the September 2017 Memory Pockets Monthly collection. You can click on either of the layouts to see them in The Lilypad gallery, along with a full supply list.
That's all for today! I'll be popping back in, tomorrow, though, with something otterly adorable!

I actually did some scrapbooking this week- yay!!! I also made some cards, too, since Lawn Fawn is right in the middle of Release Week festivities.
Lawn Fawn has posted three of my projects on their blog so far, and I'll have two more up in the next few days. All of the new items will be available both at Lawn Fawn and other retailers on August 24th.
I had a lot of fun playing with my new Distress Oxide inks to make the night sky background for this card. It was super easy using the tips that Jennifer McGuire shared in a recent video. The stamps are from the new Costume Party set, and I also used the Village Border and Stitched Hillside Backdrop (Landscape) dies in the background.
I straight-up fell in love with the Shadow Box die from this release!! I didn't think it could get any better than the Scalloped Box Card Pop-Up die, but this little guy is just amazing! It's so much fun to create scene cards that have some depth to them, and, as a bonus, they fold flat and can be mailed using regular envelopes and postage!
The stamps used here are from the new Forest Feast set. The tree and hill dies in the scene are actually part of the Shadow Box die set!
My next card was super simple, but sometimes that's what you need! I really wanted the colors in the candy corn (from the How You Bean: Candy Corn Add-On stamp set) to stand out, so I mounted the shaker jar (using some of the new Lawn Fawn chunky glitter as filler) on gray cardstock cut using the new Stitched Scallop Stackables dies.
The orange paper is from the new Knock On Wood paper line. I also used some aqua paper from the same collection on the shadow box card above. The woodgrain patterns are great for adding a little interest while still keeping things toned down.
The rest of the Lawn Fawn team has made so many amazing, gorgeous projects this week! If you want to check them out, here are links to the posts that are us so far for this Release Week:
Day 1: Intro and Big Giveaway Post
Day 2: Costume Party, Village Border, Trick or Treat Border
Day 3: Shadow Box
Day 4: How You Bean? Candy Corn Add-On, Pumpkin Spice
Day 5: Gift Box, Fall Tiny Tags
Over at The Lilypad I made two digital layouts this week. The first uses one of the add-ons to the August 2017 Mixed Media Monthly kit. The theme this month is Outdoor/Wilderness/Explore, and it is totally amazing! I know I'll be scrapping lots more of my camping adventure photos with this collection.
I also made one catch-up Project Life layout using some of the 2016 Storyteller items that were in Wednesday's SOSN (Something Old, Something New) sale.
And, I know there's only one day left for this, but The Lilypad is having a storewide sale through Monday the 21st, and the entire store is 30% off! Just in case you feel like doing a little digital shopping. :)
Thanks so much for stopping by! I'll be back again next weekend!

Hola, everyone! Just popping in really quickly this week with one new layout to share.
I've not had much time for scrapbooking again this week, but I did want to play with the back to school themed products in the August edition of the Create Crate Monthly subscription over at The Lilypad.
These photos were taken a couple of years ago when Darren was in his second year of medical school, and it's crazy to think that now he's in his last year! He's working on his residency application and getting a couple of away rotations in, and in just over 6 months we'll find out where we'll be moving to for that chapter of this adventure. There's so much to do between now and then that it quite often boggles my mind! Let's just say that my planner and I have become good friends. :)
I should have more to share next week, especially with Lawn Fawn's new release and inspiration week starting next Thursday!
Thanks so much for stopping by- I'll see you all again next week!

I debated with myself about posting an update this week since I have done zero scrapping and have no new projects to show! Star & Bee has been keeping me super busy with orders, so it's been lots of work while listening to audio books for me lately. With so much work going on longer books are a must, so I'm currently listening to Charles Dickens' Little Dorrit- the dry humor (and Victorian-era snark) in his writing is just wonderful! (And it's almost 32 hours long!)
I don't like posting without an image of some kind, though, so I pulled a couple of layouts out of my gallery at The Lilypad from last month's Build Your Own Collection (BYOC) to share. I was a bit bummed to not have time to work with the August BYOC when it was released on Friday, but I'll go back and make a few pages with it when time allows.
You can click on either page to see it in the Lilypad Gallery along with a list of the products used.
I'm totally in need of some beach time with Darren right now! The house in Mobile is about an hour from Dauphin Island, and we drive out for the day whenever we have time.
I should have time for a digital page or two next week, and then the week after that is the start of Lawn Fawn's Inspiration and Release Week. Lots to look forward to!
Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you have a great week!

Wow, so it's week 2 of my new round-up posts here, and I'm already running late! It's been a crazy week, though- our central air conditioning unit decided to die mid-week, and it was several days before we had cooling again in the house! And, of course, those several days would be when the temperatures here were in the mid 90s with humidity hovering somewhere around 88%. Darren and I were both scrambling around working on that little hiccup, so everything else kind of took a back seat for a while.
I did scrap two digital layouts for The Lilypad this week, though! The first uses the August 2017 edition of Just Jaimee's Storyteller subscription. This has got to be, hands down, one of the best values in digital scrapbooking, and her designs are always fantastic!
I've been working on catching up on past years of Project Life (the photos and notes are all there, the time to scrap just often isn't), and I used the August edition of The Lilypad's Memory Pockets Monthly subscription for a spread from 2015. Darren was peeking over my shoulder while I was working on this one and really liked seeing photos of the progress on the workshop that he built for me that summer, so there's at least one plus to continuing to work on these pages- even if I am a couple of years late!
One last quick thing, just in case you're interested- Simon Says Stamp has all of the new Lawn Fawn goodies that will be released at the end of August up for preorder. I just finished organizing all of the new stamps and dies this week and am gearing up to make projects for the next Inspiration Week on the Lawn Fawn blog. I am so excited about all of the new products!
I hope you all had a great weekend and have a wonderful week. Until next time!

It's really time that I dust the ol' blog off and try to do something with it again! Even though the days of me having time to blog daily are long gone (let's face it, I can't even get an post up on Instagram every day!), I still scrap for Lawn Fawn and The Lilypad and would like a place to share what's going on at those two places.
Ashli Oliver had an amazing idea last year to round up all of her scrapping and art journaling posts from various galleries and social media into one blog post each week, and I'm going to borrow that idea from her and try to round up all of my work each Friday. We'll see if I can actually keep up with it!
Lawn Fawn has been showing off their new stamps, dies, papers, and accessories all week long. It's an absolutely massive release with three paper lines, 14 new stamp sets, 24 standalone dies, and new ink cubes, embossing powders, and glitter. Everything will be available for purchase in late August.
I think that my favorite of the bunch is the new Knock on Wood paper line- the colors are so pretty, and the pattern will go with almost anything!
You can see all of the new releases in Lawn Fawn's daily posts:
Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4, Day 5
Last fall I joined the Pollywog creative team at The Lilypad and had been having a blast making digital layouts for them. Digital scrapbooking is so much easier and faster for me in so many ways- all of the supplies are stored on a hard drive and don't require extra shelves, the ability to "undo" changes (especially with paint!) is amazing, and cleanup is as simple as closing down Photoshop.
This week I made two layouts for their weekly Froggy Friday release. You can click through each layout to see it in The Lilypad gallery along with links to the products used for each page.
The Lilypad is also having its annual Christmas in July sale this week! If you still have photos from Christmases past to catch up on, this is a great time to grab some fresh supplies to work on them! Everything in the Christmas, Winter, and Document Your December categories is 35% off through July 30.

And I did manage to get one post up on Instagram this week! I'm the official keeper of my niece and nephew's school keepsakes, and last weekend I spent some time photographing everything in the box that my brother sent home with me at the end of their school year.
Some of the physical items will be kept, but a lot of it can be recycled now. All of the pictures will be printed into a photo book for each child, so at the end of their school careers they'll theoretically have one tote full of the actual projects and then a collection of slim photo books that capture everything else.
And now I'm off to work for the day and then to enjoy the weekend. Thanks so much for stopping by!
