I decided to see how well this would work to add extra photos in my latest scrapbooking love- traveler's notebooks. I know I jumped on this bandwagon late in the game, and I'm not really sure why I resisted for so long! I love this smaller format and how quickly pages come together. Sometimes, though, I still have an extra photo or two I'd like to include while still keeping lots of white (or, in this case, green) space on a page.
The slider mechanism is surprisingly easy to put together since the die set cuts everything out for you. Kelly has a great video up on the Lawn Fawn YouTube channel explaining how to put everything together and also showing some great card examples.
I will say that while I really like this idea for adding photos to one or two layouts in a TN, it can add a bit of bulk to the page since you need to use a heavier weight (I used 80lb) cardstock for the pullout tabs. It's definitely not something I would use on every page in a notebook, but it's definitely a fun way to mix things up here and there!
The little apple image is from the new Caramel Apple stamp set, and I colored it (and actually all of my images for this week) with either Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens or Arteza Real Brush Pens
