Lawn Fawn October 2015 Inspiration Week // Winter Scripty Sayings

Saturday, October 17, 2015

Hello, and welcome to this month's Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week festivities! There's a lot going on over at the Lawn Fawn blog (including some pretty big giveaways), and I'll be sharing my own projects here on my little corner of the web.

Today Lawn Fawn is featuring the Winter Scripty Sayings stamp set, and I decided to use it in a simple, easily reproducible card design that would be perfect for quickly making lots of handmade Christmas cards.

Once I had the initial design down, it was really easy to crank out duplicates of this card! I started with a white card base and then used the largest Stitched Rectangles die to cut pieces of glitter paper (I used the DCWV Glitzy Glitter Stack) and sheets from the Let's Bokeh in the Snow 6x6 paper pad. I curved the bottoms of both pieces of paper using the Stitched Hillside dies (turns out they're just as good at shaping card edges as they are at making hills!) and adhered them to the card base with the glitter offset just a bit from the patterned paper.

One of the cool things about clear stamps is their flexibility (literally!), and I curved each of the stamps on the lid of my MISTI (you could also use a big acrylic block), using the cut-off portion of the glitter paper as a guide. I used Lawn Fawn inks in colors that matched my patterned paper choices, but it would be fun to experiment with different combinations of metallic inks or heat embossing, too.

The rest of the Lawn Fawn team has cooked up some fabulous projects using both these stamps and the new Scalloped Rectangles Stackables dies, so be sure to hop on over to the Lawn Fawn blog to check it all out!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I'll be back tomorrow with other card that may or may not have you singing a little Let It Go.
