December Daily Kit

Saturday, October 2, 2010

A few weeks ago the Christmas bug bit me just a little bit and I dove headfirst into making my December Daily base album. This will be my third Christmas to make one of these albums, and after the elaborate, time-consuming versions of years past I was ready for something super simple.

Over the last year or so I've seen some gorgeous 4x6 mini albums, so I decided to use that format this Christmas (it'll make printing photos so much easier). After selecting a color palette of green, red, blue, and gold, I went to work and eventually this kit was born.

The patterned papers are a total mix. Some are double-sided, some are glittered or foiled, and they're from various manufacturers including Basic Grey, Making Memories, My Mind's Eye, and K and Company.

I created some coordinating quote pages in Photoshop and had them professionally printed by a photo developer...

...and also selected coordinating cardstock and made a scalloped page and 4-bar (3.625" x 5.125") envelope (with coordinating liner) to match.

And then, of course, there are the goodies- handmade stickers and accordion flowers, custom cut journaling spots, handmade ruffled crepe paper, labels, and shipping tags. Oh, and binder rings (2"- this is going to be a chunky book!) to hold it all together.

But what about the dates?!?!?! Easy, peasy- I'm going to use one of these date stamps from the office supply store along with some black Staz-on ink.

Simple, quick, and I won't have to worry about running out of 1s and 2s this time around.

I've made up a few extra kits and listed them in my new Etsy shop (well, new name, anyway) if you'd like one of your very own.

Oh, and I thought I was early on this album, but Ali Edwards posted that she's going to be working on her foundation pages this week, so it looks like I'm right on time!

Etsy Shop Update- New Cupcake Wrappers and Toppers

Saturday, June 5, 2010

Hi, Everyone! Just a quick update on the shop- I added a few new items on Saturday.

Cardstock cupcake wrappers in a pretty pink and yellow color mix...

And the matching toppers.

I also made a set with some bold, bright paper in a mix of navy, turquoise, cranberry, and violet...

And of course matching toppers for them, as well.

The toppers are totally customizable with whatever design you want in the center.

I'll be back later with a geeky sci-fi post!

Introducing the ScrappyJedi Etsy Shop!

Saturday, May 29, 2010

I finally did it! I've been wanting to open my own Etsy shop to sell cupcake wrappers and toppers for months, and since I had this week off I decided it was a good time to start.

As of right now there are only two listings- one for the toppers pictured below and one for the wrappers.

One of the cool thing about these is that they can be customized in so many ways. Over the coming weeks and months I will be designing more color sets to add to the shop, but I also welcome (gladly, with open arms) any custom orders. I also plan on adding coordinating favor bags, invitations, thank you cards, and whatever else I can come up with. :)

I have the following shades of crepe paper on hand (I'm pretty tickled that I found polka dot and zebra print paper!). Mix and match as many different colors per set as you like.

And for the toppers, I have the following center designs available in addition to your choice of colors above. If you want to order but don't see exactly what you need here, please send me a message and I'm sure I can find something that will be perfect for your next party. :)

You can find a preview and a link to my little shop just to the right of this post.

And not to worry- I definitely do not plan to turn this into an all Etsy, all the time blog. I expect I'll only have a shop related post every week or two, and the rest of the time will be regularly scheduled scrapping and sci-fi content.

I'm so excited to finally have this little venture started!
