Friday Favorites

Ooooh, so many pretties this week! And since I've had a nice morning kayaking, I'm totally ready to dive in and try some of this fun stuff.

From left to right:
  • Print up this fun rainbow party kit with free downloads from Paper Glitter. I love the little smiley face clouds!
  • And after you print the hats out, learn how to add a decorative fringe via this post at the Birthday Girl blog.
  • Shimelle Laine has posted a great article called Photography Tips for Scrapbookers. It's not a technical article but instead focuses on composition and capturing the important details.
  • Tired of your plain daily planner? Dress it up with a vintage book cover with these instructions from Just Something I Made.
  • I have tons of the little Prima milk-bottle flowers sitting around, so I'm definitely going to try to make some of these multi-layered roses (by Nicole Aspinall) from them. They work for both the medium sized flowers as well as the teeny-tiny ones.
  • Elizabeth Kartchner shows how to make a small mini album from your scrapbooking paper scraps.
  • And for more bookbinding goodness, check out this video at Hero Arts.
  • A Field Journal shows a fun, vintage tablescape for the 4th of July. That holiday has passed, but so many of the ideas can be applied to any occasion.
  • Allison Davis just wrapped up another Sketches Week on her blog. The linked post shows the sketch she used (from her upcoming DVD) and all the pages that she created based on the sketch.
Have a scrappy weekend!
