This is the perfect time of the year to enjoy the outside for a little while, then escape indoors for a little air conditioning and crafting time. Here are some projects that caught my eye recently, and I just might try one or two this weekend.

- Okay, how genius is this? Keisha Campbell's idea to stitch sand and shells from a beach vacation right into a page protector is simply amazing. I have lots of jars and ziploc baggies full of this stuff that I need to get into albums!
- If you're traveling with small kids this year, then this cute little coloring book idea from Kristina Proffitt might be the perfect thing to pack into your carry-on. How cute are these little sets of stamped tags that she turned into a coloring book?
- I can't get enough of all these handmade flower embellishments! Check out this gorgeous multi-layered bloom by Monika Wright.
- This ice cream party in a box would make the cutest care package ever! Get the scoop (no pun intended) on Marta Writes.
- How's this for making the most of your space? Check out this amazing craft room in an Airstream trailer (via Design Sponge). If you're out of room inside your house, this might just be the way to go.
- Elle's Studio has been featuring a fun baby book on their blog. The pages are adorable and leave room for either a single large photo or even a collage of smaller photos. What a great gift for new parents! Be sure to also check out part 2 and part 3.
- Elise Blaha has another great mini album on her blog. This one is full of so many fun colors and textures!
- Feeling like your photography (especially event photography) is starting to all look the same? Paperclipping has a great article on how to be your family's photojournalist, including some practical tips on what type of shots to get and when to put the camera away.
- And once you're done taking all those photos, jazz them up with some free Photoshop Elements actions from Coffee Tea Photography (via Sharyn Carlson). There are tons to choose from!
