Lawn Fawn December 2018 Inspiration Week // Tiny Gift Box Raccoon and Fox Add-On

Monday, December 10, 2018

So, how was that for a long blog post title? Ha!

Some of Lawn Fawn's products can have some long names, though, especially when they are of the add-on variety. I am totally on board with any length of name for these little cuties, though, because the Raccoon and Fox add-ons to the Tiny Gift Box die are simply adorable!

I said a couple of posts ago that I couldn't stay away from the glitter with this release, and I had such fun using Lawn Fawn's Sparkle Cardstock (these colors are from the Autumn pack) for the faces and tails on my boxes.

The add-ons and boxes are super easy to put together, but do take a bit of time to actually do all of the die cutting. And I cannot recommend the Lawn Fawn Glue Tube enough when putting these together- it made sticking all of those little pieces down so easy!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I'll be back tomorrow with another projects from the Lawn Fawn Valentine's release!

Lawn Fawn December 2018 Inspiration Week // I Love You(calyptus)

Sunday, December 9, 2018

Koalas were my favorite animal when I was a kid, and are still one of my favorites today. Back then I practically memorized the book A Koala Grows Up and would get a bit miffed when people referred to them as bears (because they are, in fact, marsupials).

So, when Lawn Fawn came out with the new I Love You(calyptus) mini stamp set as part of their Valentine's release, I was pretty excited!

This card is pretty simple - I used the Zig Zag Rectangle dies (yes, again!) to cut a background from some green Gotta Have Gingham paper. I stamped the images onto Bristol paper with Lawn Fawn's Jet Black ink and colored with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens and a water brush. Then I layered the cut images over a die cut Sending Hugs die (also part of the new release), added some white Nuvo drops, and that was that!

Thanks so much for stopping by- I hope you have a great day!

P.S. While kid me read A Koala Grows Up to get my marsupial facts, grown up me very much enjoys the following (only slightly NSFW) educational video:

P.P.S. "Koala in the rain" has become a substitute for a phrase containing a certain four letter word in our house. :)

Lawn Fawn December 2018 Inspiration Week // Let's Toast

Saturday, December 8, 2018

We may be surrounded by all things Christmas right now, but Lawn Fawn is already gearing up to release their new Valentine's products at the end of next week- Thursday, December 13 to be exact! Today the design team is working with the adorable Let's Toast stamp set and coordinating dies, and I have a card to share!

I will admit that I just could not stay away from the glitter with this release! I used Lawn Fawn's sparkle cardstock on all but one project. There's just something about winter and Christmas that makes me want to bling all the things.

To make the card, I used the Zig Zag Rectangle dies to cut the white background, then cut a piece of watercolor paper using the Stitched Circles dies and blended Worn Lipstick and Tattered Rose Distress Oxide inks onto it. I stamped the images onto Bristol paper with Lawn Fawn's Jet Black ink (no heat embossing this time) and colored with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens and a water brush. Super cute, super simple, and super fun!

I'll be back tomorrow with the only card I made for this release that didn't include glitter- ha!! Until then, have a great day, and thanks so much for stopping by!
