Lawn Fawn Thermoweb Week // Adventures with Purple Tape

Wednesday, September 26, 2018

Lawn Fawn and Thermoweb have teamed up this week to offer lots of inspiration combining products from the two companies. When I was asked which of Thermoweb's products I wanted to work with, the answer was easy- Purple Tape!

I've been using Post-It tape for die cutting for years, but I've always had issues with it not being quite flexible enough to adhere through the openings of teeny, tiny dies (due to it having a thick paper backing). This meant that sometimes my dies would shift during cutting, making me a sad panda- especially if it was a cut that I spent a lot of time coloring! I found that Purple Tape is wonderfully oh-so-flexible, though, and has a better hold, too! Imagine a slightly less aggressive version of blue painter's tape. I'm in love, and I'm never going back!

I combined Lawn Fawn's Deck the Halls and Snow Day stamp sets to make today's card, and I clustered some branches, pine cones, and two adorable bunnies around a sentiment banner to create my focal point. I enjoy making a scene card now and then, but making a card with a cluster at the focus feels more like me. It takes me back to the days when I did oodles of scrapbooking, and honestly I could see myself using the same composition as an embellishment on a page (note to self- try that soon!).

Thanks so much for stopping by today, and be sure to hop over to the Lawn Fawn blog to see the other bits of gorgeousness that the design team has in store for you this week!

Have a great day!
