geek girl | the all star wars edition

Hola, fellow geeks (and non-geeks who tolerate my nerd-ish ravings from time to time). I hope you're all having a fabulous weekend. My parents have been visiting since Friday, so it's been lots of pizza, fondue, and taking photos at the botanical gardens around here. My Dad is a big part of the reason I'm such a geek- he loves sci-fi and Star Trek (though I'm still trying to get him into Stargate and Doctor Who).

Now, on to some fun stuff I have to share- this week's selection of geekishness is allllll about Star Wars!

From the top left:

• Super fun renaissance-style portraits of  Star Wars characters. I think that Yoda may be my favorite!
• A handmade Star Wars "Quiet Book," complete with activities- I wish I'd had this as a kid, and I might have to try to make one for my niece!
• I soooo did NOT need to know that Moleskine was making a limited edition line of Star Wars notebooks. Guess what I bought to take to my new job next week... :) (Also, if you click that link you can watch a super cool Star Wars origami video). 
• This 8 foot long Venator class Star Destroyer is made entirely of Legos! Makes me want to raid my brother's old stash to see if I could build one of my own...
• Special edition Star Wars Pringles cans! (Thanks Melanie, for sending that along.)
• This AT-AT pancake puts anything that comes out of my Williams Sonoma molds to shame.
• I've posted a fair share of sci-fi themed video game case mods here, but this TIE fighter N64 takes the cake!
• Star Wars gets steampunked! Lots more characters if you click through the link...
• Speaking of steampunk, you have to check out these stormtrooper and Boba Fett helmets!
