First, the BBC has been on a blitz updating their YouTube channel daily (sometimes several times a day) with teasers and tidbits related to The Day of the Doctor, which is just a couple of weeks away! I'll embed the longest of the teasers below, but you can see more videos here, here, here, and here.
Excuse me while I pause on the frame with David Tennant being brilliant...
Okay, I'm back now!
In other news, Star Wars Episode VII has an official release date, and it's quite the departure from the norm for the franchise. Instead of a May release, fans can consider the film something of an early Christmas gift when it opens on December 15, 2015.
And if that wasn't enough geekiness (and, honestly, is there ever enough?), then I've got nine more fun little items to share with you tonight. Enjoy!
From the top left:
- Star Wars meets some of the world's greatest art masterpieces in this mashup featured at Nerd Approved.
- This adorable two year old was dressed as not one, but all of the Doctors this Halloween, thanks to some amazing costume shopping by her father.
- The Minions look so cute all dressed up on this Halloween cake!
- Is your desk a little light on undead decorations? You rectify that by printing and folding your very own paper zombie head!
- This amazing eye makeup (there are even more elaborate examples if you click through the link) is simply stunning!
- This TARDIS mask makes for a very classy and grown-up costume!
- Think Geek has a load of new Star Wars merchandise in, including Star Wars floor mats and trailer hitch covers.
- Remember the Legos and Lightsabers party I linked up a few weeks ago? Hostess with the Mostess is back with two posts showing how the games and favors were DIY'ed. Check them out here and here.
- This Nintendo themed wedding is filled with 8-bit fun.
Tonight's video is by James Farr and is a stunning look at what a Star Wars video game might look like if done Nintendo style.
