counterfeit kit | card sketch challenge

It's time for the first Counterfeit Kit mini challenge of May! Each month Bethany and Meridy choose an awesome kit for everyone to "lift" and then provide three mini challenges that are presented throughout the month to help you get scrapping with all those great supplies. The design team members each participate in at least two challenges (one of which is the monthly blog hop).

This month I chose to participate in the card challenge as well as the blog hop later this month. I'm seriously sending these things out as fast as I make them lately! First there was Mom's Mother's Day card, and now I'm back to share her birthday card, (this year they were only 8 days apart!) which should be arriving in her mailbox tomorrow.

Guess what that means? Happy early birthday, Mom!!! :) And if you don't want to see your card, you might want to stop reading now (sorry to do this to you again, but it's just for a day).

I was quite stoked to see that Bethany and Meridy picked a card sketch from Sketch Support as the basis of the challenge. I totally love all of Allison's sketches to pieces (if you want to see how I used them to organize an entire travel album, read this post) and have all of her books.

I am totally digging all the bright, fun, contrast-y colors in my May kit. It's so easy to scrap with and was perfect for making a fun, festive birthday card.
