I know that yesterday I said that I was going to post photos of the October Afternoon booth next, but when I started flipping through my yet-to-be-posted photos from CHA Winter 2012, the pictures of Heidi Swapp's booth caught my eye and just screamed at me to post them next.
And who am I to argue with this glamorous gorgeousness?
This show marked Heidi's triumphant return to the world of scrapbook product design, and she definitely made an entrance with her booth. Those glass cases shown below? The contents were changed daily throughout the show. Unfortunately I was only able to take photos of them on the first day because every time I tried to visit after that there were so many people in the booth that I couldn't get a clear shot!
Heidi debuted two paper lines at the show including my absolute favorite of her new releases, No Limits.
If you've read my blog for very long, you know that I love to travel, and No Limits is part travel, part adventure...meaning that it's all perfect for me! And those engineering diagram prints? The software geek in me is dying over those!
And that blue print looks a lot like a radar control screen...something I'm also kind of familiar with. ::wink::
And, eeeeek!! See the layout in the bottom of the photo below? It's mine, baby!!
You see, while Heidi has complete creative and marketing control over her new products, she's teamed up with Pink Paislee to handle manufacturing and logistics. That means that she also shares the Pink Paislee design team part of the time, and I get to play with all her cool new products! Sweet!
Heidi's second line is definitely more girly and glam. Sugar Chic is filled with chevrons, flowers, and animal prints. Rawrrrr!
You may have noticed that some of the embellishments on both the No Limits and Sugar Chic displays are identical between the two lines. Not only did Heidi create some pretty cool embellishments specifically for each line, but she also has a whole set that works with either (such as the label packs and trims)- so cool!
Fringes, sequins, labels, stamps, little tiny folders....there's so much goodness here! And it's all great quality. I know there's been some question about that given the history of Heidi's former line with Advantus, but I speak from personal experience when I say that all of this stuff is awesome to work with- not a cracked rub-on in sight! With Pink Paislee behind the manufacturing, you know it has to be good!
Lots of cute embellishments on sticks- such a fun take-off on the flag trend (though there are plenty of those, too).
Heidi also introduced a new Memory File system at the show.
These sweet file folders are a cross between a layout and a mini album, and there's even a cute storage box (think of each folder as a layout and the box as an album). There is so much potential here to make something that's much more interactive than the standard layout.
For example, the folder below and the one two photos down both contain fold-out elements that you don't have to worry about having constrained by a page protector- so cool, and full of so many possibilities!
Heidi also introduced her new Color Magic line at the show. These papers, folders, and embellishments are treated with resist and provide a number of misting and inking options for customization. If you're familiar with Pink Paislee's Mistables line, then you'll find that you're right at home with this collection as well.
And of course the booth was covered in beautiful projects made by both Heidi and the design team.
Stop and Scrap currently has Heidi Swapp's No Limits and Sugar Chic lines available for preorder, and the Color Magic items and new embellishments can be found in those listings, as well. If you'd like to place an order, you can use coupon code SCRAPPYJEDI and receive an extra 12% off the already discounted list price.
There's lots more CHA Winter 2012 coverage to come! I've still got those October Afternoon photos in the hopper, and I'm also queueing up pictures of the Lily Bee, Graphic 45, and Crate Paper booths, plus lots more!
