Speaking of those embellishments, I'm going to start off my photo tour of the We R Memory Keepers booth with one of their newest additions- washi tape!
You know that this display of gorgeous decorative tapes stopped me in my tracks as soon as I spotted it. I'm happy to report that it's tougher and stickier than a lot of washi tapes currently on the market, making it much easier to use (and much easier to make stay put). These tapes won't be available until May, but you can bet that I'll be stalking my favorite online stores waiting for them to come in!
Another new addition to the We R embellishment lineup? Spools of baker's twine! They've offered twine cards for the Sew Easy since the summer show, but these big spools that contain 50 yards of a single color are something new that they're offering. Look for these to begin shipping in April.
We R Memory Keepers is known for producing high-quality albums, and they've expanded the line this season to include new leather albums in designer patterns.
Here's a closer look at two of my favorites with touches of aqua and green.
We R Memory Keepers has quite the tool lineup, as well. I've been a fan and user of the Crop A Dile and Corner Chomper for years, and they always have something new to bring to market at each show.
This CHA saw the addition of new Doodle Stamper heads for the Sew Stamper tool.
We R is also introducing a new corner mounting system (shipping in May) that allows you to easily mount photos and papers without adhesive. This is especially useful for creating layered corners for invitations and cards.
The Crop A Dile line is also getting an update with the addition of the Power Punch tool. Available in two varieties (1/16" and 1/4"), these powerful punches can cut through all the materials that the existing Crop A Dile can handle and have a 2" reach.
Remember the Lucky 8 border punch set that was debuted at CHA Winter 2011? After a long struggle with manufacturing issues, We R Memory Keepers is finally able to bring them to market and will begin shipping them in April. Their ability to punch several types of border around an entire sheet of paper is intriguing and I found the demo unit that was on hand in the booth easy to use, but their massive size and $39.99 MSRP might be a drawback for some consumers.
We R Memory Keepers also came to CHA bearing paper. Lots and lots of paper, and all manner of pretty embellishments to go with it. They're also starting something new with their collections- instead of shipping them all at once, collections will be released monthly to stores so that there's always something new coming up.
We R displayed their new collections in pairs, so let's take a look at them in the same manner. First up? Anthologie and Under The Boardwalk.
Anthologie (shipping in March) is a classic, everyday line that has a lot of potential for use in Project Life.
There's lots of aqua and yellow here, and are those oval doilies that I spy? I don't think I've ever seen those from a scrapbooking manufacturer before!
As the name implies, Under the Boardwalk is a beachy, summery line complete with surfboard and swimsuit motifs. The colors are muted, giving it an overall vintage feel.
Good Day Sunshine and Love Struck are up next.
Good Day Sunshine is perfect for spring or summer pages and has a light, airy feel to it. It started shipping in January, so you might be able to find it in stock already at your local store.
I was immediately drawn to the chevron paper, of course!
The Valentine's themed Love Struck has actually been available for a month or two, as well, and should be in stock wherever you shop online or locally.
I've seen lots of sheets of journaling cards, but none yet that have the corners already rounded as this one does- very cool!
Cotton Tails and Baby Mine are next up on our tour.
As you might have already guessed, Cotton Tails is an Easter collection, but there are plenty of classic patterns that make this a great spring line, as well.
This little package of colored crotcheted doilies caught my eye right away- I'm definitely going to have to get a pack of those!
It seemed like many manufacturers had babies on the brain at this show, and there were baby paper collection everywhere! Baby Mine is We R Memory Keepers' version, and I like how they chose to go with bolder patterns and colors instead of soft pastels.
The bottom right corner of this photo shows something that's also new from We R Memory Keepers this season- Stack Packs. These pre-packaged collections are like paper stacks on steroids. They contain 50 sheets of paper and a wealth of embellishments and alphabet stickers, all contained in a reusable plastic case. With an MSRP of $19.99, these are perfect for consumers looking for pre-coordinated sets of supplies for theme albums.
The last paper sets we'll take a look at are Heart to Craft and Red, White, and Blue.
Heart To Craft celebrates the joy of the handmade, whether it's sewing, creating, painting, or any other form of art.
Red White and Blue might just be my favorite of all the new We R Memory Keepers collections. I love a good patriotic line!
You can find Good Day Sunshine in stock and shipping now at Stop and Scrap, and they also have a very few pieces of Cotton Tails and Love Struck available if anything from those lines happened to catch your eye. Anthologie and Baby Mine are currently up for preorder, and you can save 12% off the price of any of those items by using the discount code SCRAPPYJEDI. The other new lines will become available for preorder as shipping dates draw closer, so keep an eye out for them!
Teresa Collins' booth is up next on our tour- back in a little bit with that!
