I'm back with one last look at the American Crafts booth from CHA Winter 2012. We've already had tours of Dear Lizzy: Neapolitan and Amy Tan's Sketchbook line, and now it's time to look at the general American Crafts releases.
Fresh Squeezed is the first of two new paper lines from American Crafts at large. It's full of punchy bright colors and lots of kitchen themed accents, but not so many that it wouldn't also make a great summer line, too.
Gardenia is more spring-themed with more emphasis placed on pinks and blues, with bits of yellow and green mixed in.
I find the choice of font and style for these Thickers to be interesting. I'm not sure how I feel about the white borders on the lettering since it makes them feel a bit old-fashioned sticker-ish, but for certain layouts it could work.
American Crafts always has a great variety of general embellishments, and they introduced a few new items to their lineup at this show.
It seems that they are into everything glittery this go-round, starting with their new Glitter Tape, which comes in colors the coordinate with the company's popular line of plain cardstock.
They've also added a new line of loose glitters, with similar colors also available in tinsel glitter and microbead format.
And if you're looking for something to use all those new glitters on, then the new DIY Thickers are just the thing for you! I'm actually very excited about these since they mean that I can now purchase the Thicker fonts I like in just a plain base (instead of worrying about having enough of a certain color) and then flock, glitter, or bead just what I need to use on a project. So cool!
American Crafts debuted the Knock Out interchangeable border punch system at the last show, but they also brought it back to Anaheim along with some new border styles.
The new Flutterby pennants were on display, as well.
I adore American Crafts' albums (they're the only ones I use), so I was very happy indeed to see several new patterned offerings in the mix. I believe that all of the albums across the top row are new (I could be wrong), and I definitely know that the camera album a couple of photos down is new. Are you guys tired of hearing me talk about that camera album yet? :)
Stop and Scrap is currently offering the Fresh Squeezed and Gardenia lines for preorder (and you can find Sketchbook and Neapolitan there, as well). You can save 12% off the already-discounted price by using coupon code SCRAPPYJEDI should you wish to order some of these pretties for yourself!
That officially rounds out the American Crafts posts for this show, though I'll be back a little later this week to share the Crate Paper and Pebbles booths, too. There's still so much to see from this show- October Afternoon, Teresa Collins, Prima- the list goes on, and so does the coverage!!
