Elizabeth Kartchner rejoined the American Crafts team at CHA Summer 2012 with the introduction of a new chapter in her signature Dear Lizzy line. May Flaum and I caught up with Elizabeth at the show to get a tour of the new Neapolitan collection.
If you're familiar with Elizabeth's previous releases or with her blog, you'll instantly spot her signature style on display in the Dear Lizzy portion of the American Crafts booth.
The styling is equal parts fun and gorgeous, and the entire booth was dripping in details. Everything from the huge paper rosettes to the trendy geronimo balloons reflect this line's quirky and oh-so-fun style.
Neapolitan includes 24 new patterned papers and the huge range of embellishments that you'd expect from any American Crafts line.
As with Amy Tan's Sketchbook line, American Crafts is really mixing up the fonts, colors, and sizes of Thickers for this release. I think the script font might be my favorite here!
Along with the usual die cuts, tags, stickers, and brads, Neapolitan also includes a mix of unique embellishments such as these paper pinwheels and a set of pretty layered paper flowers (shown a few photos down).
American Crafts is including a 6x6 paper pad in this release (as they did with Sketchbook), and there are also Neapolitan versions of their newly introduced Flutterbys for this collection, as well.
That little date stamp in the top left corner of the photo below is a must have for Project Life!
The papers in this line are a mix of yellow, pink, sea green, and a trendy shade of peach. The new designs have more of a watercolor feel than previous Dear Lizzy releases, but the similar color palette should mix well with any parts of Elizabeth's older lines that you might still have in your stash. Gotta love new items that help freshen up the old at the same time!
Dear Lizzy: Neapolitan is scheduled to begin shipping this month! I've already pre-ordered quite a bit of it from Stop and Scrap, and if you'd like to order from them, as well, you can save 12% off the already discounted listed price by using coupon code SCRAPPYJEDI at checkout.
There's still one more post of American Crafts goodness to come later today, so be sure to check back in a little later to see the rest of their CHA Winter 2012 release!
