Industry veteran KI Memories has certainly been through its share of ups and downs over the past few years. Soon after showing their new collections at CHA Summer 2011 the company announced that they would not be bringing the new lines to market after all. Then, after many months of limbo, Hampton Art acquired the troubled company and at CHA Summer 2012 released Flashback- a collection that became an almost instant hit, with many items selling out multiple times over at online stores across the web.
Fast forward to CHA Winter 2013, and KI Memories has introduced two new lines with Hampton Art. One has lots of bright colors and the sass you'd expect from KI while the other is quite the departure from their normal style.
We'll start things off with Mini Celebrations- a line with several holidays and events in mind and a 12x12 sheet of cut-apart elements (with a coordinating patterned printed on the back) devoted to each.
The fall-themed paper below the zebra print is the most interesting to me as I remember seeing the print on the back side in the KI booth during the summer of 2011, as part of the never-released Good Folk collection.
The Vintage Charm collection, while including some signature KI Memories elements such as 12x12 lace papers, doesn't strike me as quite fitting in with KI's style. It's not that it isn't pretty, it's just not what we've come to expect from KI!
I wasn't able to get an ETA while at the store on when these new lines will ship to stores, but you can keep an eye on the KI Memories section of Two Peas in a Bucket for these new releases.
