This week I'm back in the office, far from the wonderful time I got to spend at home last week and even further from the almost magical week we spent wandering across Aruba earlier this year.

And I'm definitely very, very far from this little pool that we discovered on the second day of our trip...and one that we came back to several times before we left because I became just a tiny bit obsessed with it (blogged here).

Speaking of obsessions, a few of my scrapbooking ones are on display here- tiny letter stickers, buttons...

...decorative tape, and little strips and pieces of paper layered together. And of course the snarky journaling. :)

Having finally settled into a scrapbooking style is freeing- it means that I'm not constantly reinventing the wheel on every page. I think Karen Grunberg said it best in her Finding Your Way class at Big Picture- she said that since she found her unique way of scrapbooking that she feels like a page is now already half done as soon as she gets her photos and background cardstock out (total, complete, and utter paraphrase). I absolutely feel the same way. It's not about getting pages done quickly or rushing through them, it's about being comfortable with your process and having things structured such that you can get down to the fun part (which for me is gluing little bits to other little bits) of making a page very quickly.

So glad to have finally arrived at this place.
