Happy Friday, scrappy peeps! I know I say it a lot around here, but it just seems like time is flying by this year! It's insane to think that Thanksgiving is already behind us (at least here in the US), and Christmas will be here in just over a month!

Thankfully for me, things seem to be settling down a bit in terms of busy-ness around here rather than ratcheting up as they tend to do during the holidays. I am so very, very grateful for that for so many reasons, one of which is it leaves me time for a bit of extra crafting!

And speaking of crafting, of course I have another round of fun picks to share with you this week!

From the top left:

  • Christmas journaling season is nearly here, and if you're the type that likes to prepare your base album early, Heather Nichols has a lovely example for you on her blog, Pinefeather.
  • I think I might have selected this lovely ombre mermaid party for this week to protest the cold weather that's settling in here. Of course, it's rather lovely, too, and you can see all the details at Hostess With the Mostess.
  • Like owls? Need a 2013 calendar? My Owl Barn has something fantastic for you, then! Simply select one of their many, many available pieces of owl artwork to go with each month in your calendar, then use their online tool to generate a custom PDF that you can print out as many times as you like. And the best part? It's totally free to use!
  • Sarah Pendergrast wrote an awesome post recently for Write. Click. Scrapbook. sharing several fun ways to use your kids' artwork on your layouts.
  • I love this wire-strung frame advent calendar from Silhouette (and it doesn't hurt that the example they show uses cute little Instagram photos). They're selling it as their "limited edition" advent calendar this year, but it doesn't look like it would be too hard to DIY!
  • Suzy Plantamura has recently jumped on board with Project Life and shared a look at her "kit" and storage system. I love that she picked a color scheme for her album, then selected supplies from her pre-existing stash to use.
  • Learn to make this lovely paper Christmas ornament at Echo Park's blog.
  • Want another December Daily/Journal Your Christmas album idea? Danielle Flanders has put together this lovely mini as her base.
  • How About Orange shows how to make your own paper pie chart pendants. How cute would these be made with little bits of patterned paper?
TTFN!
