Good evening, geeklings! It's getting late here, but I couldn't turn in for the night without bringing you your weekly dose of geekiness! There's been lots of great stuff to share lately, so let's get started!

From the top left:

  • We've known for a while that Aaron Allston is working on another installment in the Star Wars X-Wing novel series (one of my favorites!), and now we've got a look at the updated cover. Love the artwork!

  • I spotted this awesome Darth Vader hot air balloon over on Oh Hello Friend.
  • Cupcakes Take the Cake shared a post full of Angry Birds cupcakes recently, including these super detailed cake pops.
  • I remember the inflatable furniture craze during my college years, but we never had anything as nerdy as this inflatable Star Trek captain's chair.
  • You can see this sweet Yoda cake over at TheForce.net.
  • Some of the latest additions to the already massive line of Star Wars merchandise includes a set of Millennium Falcon and lightsaber bottle openers. Classy.
  • Researchers at MIT recently unveiled tiny electronic "pebbles" that are capable of joining themselves together in larger patterns. I've seen that episode of Stargate, and it doesn't end well...
  • Club Jade came up with another excellent Etsy find- this Star Wars greeting card hails from the shop of Crafting Tiger, where you'll find even more crafty geekery.
  • And, finally, I'm not a huge Avengers (or even comic book in general) follower, but this Winnie The Pooh/Avengers mashup was just too cute not to share!

And, because we've already waited far too long for the next season of Doctor Who to start, here's the new official BBC teaser. And, yes, that is Ben Browder guest starring!

Until next time, geek out, peeps!
