First up, I have the complete scoop, straight from American Crafts, on the much-sought-after Christmas roller date stamp. Julie in AC's customer service department sent me the following in an email:
The Christmas Date Stamp I believe you are referring to (it has a red handle with a white snowflake on it, right?) is expected to be shipped to all of our customers and not just Hobby Lobby. We've been selling these with the rest of our Christmas Extreme Value items and these should start shipping out the first part of October.
Reader Monica commented on my previous post that the Christmas date stamp has made an appearance at her local Archivers store (in Michigan), and sharp-eyed Debra has spied the item listed over at Simon Says Stamp, as well (Debra lives in Australia and says she appreciates Simon's reasonable international shipping- a great tip non-US scrappers looking for this item). The SSS listing currently shows as out of stock, but they often put up out of stock listings in advance of product availability, so I expect that it should be available for purchase there very soon!
Simon Says Stamp also has the best image of the Christmas date stamp available at the moment. The picture below is a bit small, but you can still clearly make out all of the phrases that come with it.
If you'd like to be able to purchase the Christmas roller date stamp at your local retailer, Julie at AC also added this to her email:
If you or your readers have a favorite scrapbook store, it never hurts to ask them to order in product you're interested in, to help ensure that they'll be ordering in products that you're anxious to get your hands on.
In other date stamp news, American Crafts confirmed in the same email that the woodgrain handled date stamp that's part of the Studio Calico's Classic Calico 3 collection will start shipping to stores at the end of October. (See reference image below.)
And, if you're on the lookout for the blue/aqua handled date stamp from Amy Tan's Ready. Set. Go. collection for American Crafts (the stamp that started all of this!), it looks like it will be appearing very soon! My last post mentioned that the stamps were arriving at the AC warehouse within a day or so of posting, and now Studio Calico has listed the stamp among the items that will be available in their shop when the October kit goes up for presale at noon EST on September 27. That means that the stamp should start hitting other scrapbooking retailers at around the same time. There's also a clearer image of the aqua/blue stamp in the same Studio Calico thread, and I'm including it below for reference.
That's all the news I have for today, fellow roller date stamp lovers! I'll be sure to post any breaking stories as the information comes to me.
