operation write home + lawn fawn

Lawn Fawn is teaming up with Operation Write Home this week to create cards to send to our troops overseas. These aren't just any cards, though! Operation Write Home focuses on sending blank cards to our soldiers in the field that they can in turn send to their loved ones back home.
OWH's focus this month is on cards for our troops to send back home to their kids (apparently they've had a major shortage of these), so I whipped up this little cutie using the new Dewey Decimal collection to contribute to the cause.
Soldiers are deployed for months on end, and they miss countless soccer games, dance recitals, graduations, awesome report cards, lost teeth, and so many other little (and big) milestones in their kids' lives. I thought a kid-friendly "congratulations" card might be in order, so I pulled out the cute little owl from Critters in the Forest and sentiments from several different stamp sets- I love mixing the different sentiment fonts in Lawn Fawn's stamps!
Be sure to visit the Lawn Fawn blog today to see what the other Fawnie girls have come up with- they never cease to amaze me with their creativity!
