DCWV has certainly grown a lot from the days of the 180 sheet paper-weight stacks, and while they still produce some of those bargain pads, today's crop of "Stacks" contain much thicker paper (we're talking cardstock weight here!) and often incorporate rich additions to the prints such as foil and glitter. The number of sheets in a stack has been reduced accordingly, but the overall quality and style has been amped up so that each sheet is so very usable. Many of the stacks also have coordinating cardstock and mat (4x6) stacks available, with the cardstocks containing a mix of textured, glittered, pearl, and even metallic finishes.
DCWV's paper collections have also become less theme-centric and more about design and style, making them that much more versatile. I was amazed at their booth at CHA and delighted when they sent me a few stacks to work with after the show, including the new Coral Couture stack.
Coral is one of the hottest colors in the scrapbooking world right now, and the Coral Couture stack combines both the pink and orange sides of this lovely color with aquas, yellows, and vintage-style floral prints for a sophisticated-yet-shabby look.

DCWV's stacks contain a nice array of both small and large prints, giving you plenty of variety to choose from when creating a layout. Here I framed up a photo of my niece, Natalie (munching on cookies that I'd baked the evening before while visiting her family in D.C), with some large flowers that I cut from one of the collection's papers. I layered them up with a few strips of the smaller prints and threw in a few doilies for a little added dimension.

...and this is what it looked like when I was done! It looks totally different on the layout, right? Sometimes you have to step back and take a different look at a pattern (or in this case pieces of a pattern) to see how they can work on your project.
