Let's get the post-CHA booth recaps underway, shall we?

I'm going to kick things off with photos of Basic Grey's CHA Winter 2013 offerings. Please note that I'm not going in any particular order with these posts. Basic Grey just happened to have asked me for my photos, so they're the first ones I edited! They debuted four new paper collection along with their brand new Journaling Binders- sweet little divided page protector minis that are all the rage right now.

Two of Basic Grey's new collections, Kneehighs and Bowties, are perfect for scrapping the little girls and boys in your life. Kneehighs has a sassy aqua, pink, and yellow color palette along with plenty of coordinating embellishments.

Just one or two of the papers are themed in any way (and even those themed papers have non-themed prints on the opposite side), so this is one of those collections that will be quite versatile.

Basic Grey did a darling job of showing off their embellishments- there were four little boards under each collection full of layered clusters and journaling tags- so many great ideas here!

The embellishments are just as bright and perky as the papers themselves. There are a couple of changes to the usual Basic Grey lineup here- first, chipboard bits now come in a package instead of on sheets, and miniature bottlecaps are a new item to Basic Grey family!

Basic Grey has once again teamed up with Hero Arts to produce both clear image stamps and cling rubber backgrounds.

Kneehighs and Bowties both share a single Journaling Binder in Basic Grey's new lineup, along with a few shared embellishments.

And speaking of Bowties, here's the boyish side of Basic Grey's new releases (there are no actual bowtie prints on the papers, though, which is the first thing this Doctor Who fan looked for!).

Bowties comes complete with its own range of embellishments, as well, and while many of the sample layouts show this collection used to scrapbook photos of younger boys, I think that it would work well for teens, too.

The stamps here are quite fun! I could especially see the car background stamp being used for teen boy or even adult male scrapbook pages.

If you've only seen Basic Grey's Mint Julep collection in product images, then you're really missing out! There's something about this color palette that just hangs together so much better in person than in a digital image, and I'm hoping that my photos will help convey that.

This line is definitely girly and is filled with flowers, butterflies, and the most adorable deer!

This package of flair from Mint Julep especially caught my eye- I can see myself using every single one of them!

And that deer background stamp? Seriously, could it be more adorable?1? As an aside, I asked the Basic Grey folks if Tim and Beck (of Sassafras) had a hand in designing this collection. The answer is that they didn't team up with them for any lines this time around, but they'd had several inquiries about it at the show because of the deer motif!

Hipster is another collection that should definitely be on your list if you're looking for a teen boy line. A few of the papers do contain florals, but their B sides are not girly at all, and the overall color palette is definitely quite masculine! The patterns remind me a bit of an older Basic Grey line- Offbeat- and will coordinate well with those papers if you have any still left in your stash.

The stamps in Hipster have an everyday type theme that would make them perfect for many page subjects as well as Project Life.

Hipster has its own Journaling Binder, and I spotted a sample sitting in the booth (made by the fabulous Lisa Dickinson!).

There was also a sample on hand of the Kneehighs and Bowties binder.

Basic Grey also brought a great line of...well...basics! These enamel dots are a super hot trend in the industry right now, and Basic Grey's version puts two colors in a pack (instead of the standard four), giving you more of each size and color to use on your pages.

Basic Grey has also expanded their line of Micro Monogram stickers, adding several new colors of these fun little alphabets!

I'll finish off the booth tour with a look at a lovely collection of cards showcasing all of the new lines.
