I made it a point to spend some time in the New Exhibitors section of the CHA Winter 2013 show floor during the short time I was in Anaheim. It's always fun to see who's new in the industry, and also to see some established companies making their first appearances at the show!
Chic Tags is one of those companies. Veronica Milan has been selling her custom-designed journaling cards and embellishments on her own web site for several years (and also recently on Scrapbook.com), and her company set up its first booth and debuted four new collections at the Winter 2013 show.
The Chic Tags booth was adorably vintage and filled with so many details, ranging from the hutch above to the doilies and antique-inspired pieces from Anthropologie below. I regret that I didn't get any full shots of the booth (or really any of the booths at the show), but hopefully what my photos lack in the big picture category will be made up by the number of details they capture.
I mentioned that Chic Tags unveiled four new lines at CHA, and I'll start off the tour of the new goods with their Everyday Life II collection.
You'll find the same variety of cut-apart tag sheets, die cuts, tags, and journaling spots here that you've come to expect from Chic Tags, all wrapped up in a theme and color palette that's perfect for a variety of layout topics as well as Project Life!
I am in love with the aperture die cut pictured below- what a fun spin on the camera trend that's been sweeping through the industry at the last couple of shows!
Road Trip is a new travel themed collection from Chic Tags, and upon seeing it my first thought was, "I'll take one of each, please!"
Whether you're taking a short road trip or a longer adventure, these tags are the perfect additions for your travel album.
The color palette here is trendy and energetic- lots of aquas, reds, and oranges- and will coordinate nicely with almost all of the new travel collections that I spotted on the show floor. It's also a good match for a lot of older ones, too, making these the perfect accents to dress up some of your older stash!
Birthday Cake is a fun party-themed line, and while it's advertised as a birthday collection, the prints (there are lots of ballons, pennants, and stars) could really be used for any variety of subjects!
The bracket journaling tags above and the pennants and labels below are just a few examples of items from this collection that will work equally well on birthday layouts or on pages of other themes. I love it when a collection is versatile like that!
The last new collection that we'll look at from Chic Tags is Oh Baby!
This line of journaling spots and tags is evenly split into a pink or blue color scheme, so you'll be able to find just the right piece to use on your baby girl or baby boy layouts.
The Chic Tags team did an amazing job with the booth samples. Everything from layouts to mini albums to home decor was on display!
I'm excited to see companies like Chic Tags growing in the industry, and I can't wait to see what the future has in store for this talented designer!
You can shop for Chic Tags products at Scrapbook.com and on the Chic Tags web site.
