cha winter 2013 : maggie holmes for crate paper
Wednesday, January 23, 2013
Maggie Holmes became the latest in a successful line of signature designers in the American Crafts family of brands with the debut of her new collection for Crate Paper at CHA Winter 2013. Maggie's section of the Crate Paper booth was decked out with all the frill and style that Maggie's fans (including me!) have come to expect from her layouts, and I made sure to take lots of photos to share!
Maggie's collection features a lovely green, pink, and aqua palette with touches of yellow and navy blue sprinkled throughout the patterns.
12x12 washi sheets are a new item in Crate Paper's lineup- they've got one for each of their collections, including Maggie's line, giving scrappers 19 different washi patterns in one package, with no worries about having to use up a massive roll!
There's also a fabulous selection of embellishments in this line including chipboard, die cuts, tiny bowties, and clothespins, just to name a few items!
Part of the collection is geared toward mini albums, and there are plenty of items that are either perfect for sprucing up tiny pages or for use as small pages all on their own!
The Crate team added one item from the DIY Shop collection to Maggie's section of the booth- a set of vignette overlays- because it coordinates so well with her line! These overlays are pieces of transparency printed with either a vignette pattern, a filter, or both, and can instantly give any photo an Instagram-like look.
I'm loving American Crafts' brands addition of patterned albums to many of their new lines, and Maggie's includes a beautiful doily print on a distressed pink background.
The booth was filled with a selection of Maggie's gorgeous projects- everything from mini albums to cards to layouts, and even a sweet photo banner!
Maggie's collection is scheduled to ship to stores in February. You can find Crate Paper products at Two Peas in a Bucket, Scrapbook.com, and Simon Says Stamp.
