I do have photos of the other Webster's Pages collections in their CHA Winter 2013 booth to share, but I wanted to give Allison Kreft's two fabulous new lines- Composition and Color and Sweet Notes- a spotlight of their own!
If you're not familiar with Allison, she was the design genius behind Hambly Screen Prints before they went out of business, and since then she's been busy finding new homes for her designs in the scrapbooking industry. Last summer and fall she collaborated with Echo Park paper on the incredibly popular Everyday Eclectic collection as well as Today's Story, an entry into Echo Park's Photo Freedom line. Now Allison has found a new design home at Webster's Pages, and by the looks of things she's a perfect fit for the company!
Allison's side of the Webster's booth was filled with uniquely trendy touches- a set of altered Polaroid cameras and a chevron-ed typewriter definitely set the tone for her collections!
Composition & Color is like peeking onto an artist's table with a work in progress. Photo-realistic depictions of pastels, punched tin, and rulers mix with maps, typewriters, chevrons, and florals, all in a bright, fun color palette.
Webster's Pages has added some new embellishments this season, and we get our first look at some of them in Allison's collections. Tiny bags in two sizes and a packet of folders and cards are just two of the new entries, and of course some of Webster's signature luscious trims are included, as well.
Webster's is also introducing washi tape with this release! The display rolls were placed fairly high (and I'm also fairly short :) ), but I did get a shot of the designs for both new collections. I'm loving this camera print in particular!
Sweet Notes has a similar color palette to Composition & Color, but takes the designs in a completely different collection. Where the former went with trendier patterns, Sweet Notes experiments with combining just a few trendy elements with images of desserts (this is quite possibly the first time I've seen macarons on scrapbook paper!), mason jars, and lots of phrases and non-themed patterns that are perfect for scrapbooking everyday happy moments!
I'm loving all of the cut-apart sheets both in the Webster's Pages booth and all across the show floor this season!
And for those who are still mourning the loss of Hambly Transparencies, take heart! Webster's and Allison have also teamed up to bring you some lovely new transparency designs!
Both new collections (along with the other items from Webster's that we'll take a look at later this week) are currently shipping to retailers and should be available soon. You can find Webster's Pages products here at Two Peas in a Bucket!
