First up, be sure to stop back by here on Monday morning to get the scoop on a super awesome giveaway that I'll be hosting. Fans of my Virtual Shopping posts (and you know who you are- love you guys!) will be thrilled to learn that the source of all those wonderful boxes, my favorite online store Stop and Scrap, has generously offered me not one, but three gift certificates to give away! I'll spill all the details on Monday (as well as share an exclusive coupon code!), so stay tuned for that! And if you want to check out Stop and Scrap before then, you'll find a link to their store in the sidebar of my blog.
Second, I have a couple of things to share that I found after I'd already made up this week's photo collage, so you're getting a few bonus items this week!
Karen Grunberg has written a phenomenal series of posts at Write. Click. Scrapbook. this week detailing several parts of her scrapbooking process. This is serious must-read stuff!! Her articles are quite detailed and cover Photos, Stories, Supplies, and Time. It's worth grabbing a cup of tea and settling in to read.
Since I have the day off of work, I've been working on a couple of cleaning, reorganizing, and decorating projects. I wanted to do a couple of fun things for Fall decor before diving totally into the Christmas merriment, so I printed up the two fantastic pieces of art you see above (my local Sam's Club has great prices on larger prints). The pennants are by Rebecca Cooper, and the subway art is from Eighteen 25. The pennants were actually made to be cut apart and folded to create flags, but I love them so much they way they look on the page that I left them together and just stuck them in a frame as-is!
And now let's dive into the usual Friday Favorites!
From the top left:
- Kristina Werner's cards are always stunning, but this one in particular caught my eye. The tall shape and bold floral print really stand out!
- Crate Paper's Peppermint line is my absolute favorite of all the new Christmas collections from CHA, so of course I find this gorgeous mini album from the Crate Paper blog to be just stunning!
- Are these twine balls not the cutest things ever? Visit Polkadot Print Studio to find out how to make them for yourself- such adorable package decorations!
- Chevron prints are hot, hot, hot right now, and you can get a free printable set of chevron Party Circles at Tomkat Studio.
- These sweet paper leaves are just gorgeous! Get more details on them at the Scrapbooks, Etc. blog.
- Learn how to make these fun, frill fall flowers at Heidi Van Laar's blog.
- Shimelle Laine always has fantastic scrapbooking ideas, and her recent addition of "Starting Points" to her blog lineup is just genius! You can find a new one every week on her blog with both before and after photos showing the finished project.
- I love seeing products used in unconventional ways, so of course I was thrilled to see this post at October Afternoon showing some unique uses for their banner chipboard pieces.
- Learn to make these cupcake liner pom-poms at Kara's Party Ideas.
